Direct Flash with Sarah & Michael

Direct flash is such a big trend in the wedding world right now - and I wanted to test it out with a styled shoot! I’ve been terrified of anything other than natural lighting for pretty much the whole six years we’ve been shooting weddings - but I’ve seen so many epic shoots with flash, so decided to give it a try. And what a lesson it was in facing your fears! I love these photos, and I’m so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone to shoot them. Sarah & Michael are high school friends of mine, and have been married for a few years now, but are always down to model for me, and let me test things out! I can’t wait to incorporate this into my wedding work - and I’m proud to say I’m no longer terrified of flash!
