Desert Engagement Session, Phoenix AZ | Alexus & Joseph

I absolutely adore any couple who is willing to travel to a fun, new place for their engagement session! Alexus & Joseph are from New Jersey, and that’s where they are getting married next summer. But they knew they wanted something different for their engagements, so we planned a trip to Phoenix, Arizona. Alexus had a bachelorette party to attend in Phoenix that weekend, and I have a best friend that lives there! So that made it a really easy trip to coordinate. Engagement sessions are my favorite thing to shoot, and if you’re looking for somewhere cool to get them done in - let me know! We can always work out a fun, cost-effective trip. 

I scouted a few locations before our shoot, and I knew I wanted to really show off the desert landscape, and all the cacti! It’s such a different place than Texas, and it was so fun to take photographs with all the unique plant life that thrives in AZ. We had a blast, taking shots, drinking champagne, and running around the desert. We really focused on these two, their connection, and the surrounding environment. Engagements are such a great way to get to know each other before the wedding day - I cannot wait to work with these two again in June!
